Creating a Fund

One of the primary goals of the Community Foundation of West Alabama is to make supporting the community through giving as easy and as effective as possible.  Before creating a fund, we recommend that you consult with your professional advisor and decide what types of funds you would like to create and through what financial vehicles you would like to give.  Any of the staff or board members of the Community Foundation will be happy to discuss these options with you.

Once you have decided on how you would like to give, setting up a fund requires that you complete a basic agreement available through our office.  The following agreements are commonly used:

  • Advised Fund Agreement

  • Field of Interest Fund Agreement

  • Agency Fund Agreement

  • Endowment Fund Agreement
