Corporate Giving

The Community Foundation of West Alabama strives to promote and facilitate charitable giving in the eight counties of West Alabama. As a corporate leader, you may be interested in helping give to our community without incurring additional administrative burdens. By giving through the Community Foundation, the corporate treasurer writes only one check or makes only one gift of stock instead of many to multiple charities. One gift takes care of the corporate tax deduction and establishes or increases a Fund from which grants may be made for years to come.
With an Advised Fund, your corporation can set aside money when it is most prudent for tax planning purposes and yet grants can be spread out over time. The Foundation owns and invests the funds with other funds for economies of scale. However, grants are based on your written recommendations.
The Community Foundation of West Alabama aims to help connect civic leaders and givers in the corporate arena with the resources and needs of our community. Our additional goal is to help corporations, families and individuals increase the scope and effectiveness of giving. The Foundation is able to take over administrative duties.
