The CFWA says goodbye to Anne

Anne Moman has faithfully served the CFWA as a director for 12 years!  She has decided to step down and is shown accepting a plaque from Board Chair Claude Edwards and Vice President Mary Bess Paluzzi.  We thank you Anne for your dedicated service!

Kentuck

Sherri Warner and Amy Echols of Kentuck  Art Center and Museum are always happy to receive support from the Community Foundation.  The CFWA gladly partners with them in their good work.

Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society

Ian Crawford directs the Tuscaloosa County Preservation Society.  This good work seeks to preserve the rich history here in West Alabama.  The TCPS is also a supporter of the Community Foundation as we work together to enrich the lives of our citizens.  Thank you Ian for your work!

Friends of Historic Northport

Wilford Calhoun is a local historian and a treasure in his own right when it comes to history and West Alabama.  He and the Friends of Historic Northport work tirelessly each year to educate the young students in our area about our rich heritage.  The CFWA partners with the FHN to lend support to their good work.

Tuscaloosa County teachers receive grants

The following teachers from the Tuscaloosa County School System received funding through the CFWA educational grants:  Samantha Harbin, Dominique Tortorise, Dana Roy and Misty Turner.  The CFWA is a strong supporter of education evidenced by the fact that over 50% of our funding in 2017 went to education!
